He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Vernon Ramsey Sr. and Lou Ramsey (Chamberlain); his siblings, Alva Vernon Ramsey Jr., George Burton Ramsey, Evaline Brewer, Ruth Harper and Rowena Betty Perrine; his wife Helen Ramsey (Hein); his son Michael F. Ramsey; his granddaughters, Becky Davis and Kristy Dolence; and his great grandchild Gavin Nichols.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Cathan (Marc Krol), Bruce Ramsey (Barbara Conner-Ramsey), Gregory Ramsey, Mark Ramsey (Pat) and John Ramsey (Becky); his daughter-in-law Kitty Ramsey; his grandchildren, Judy Horvath (David), David Cathan, James Lick (Maggie), Michael K. Ramsey, Layla Chambers (Phil), Bruce Alan Ramsey, Jennifer Gregorek, Caitlyn Lewis (Eric) and JD Ramsey; his great grandchildren, Tori Horvath, Ashley Horvath, JT Horvath, Emily Lick, Erica Ramsey, Chelsea Whitcomb (William III), Jasmyne Geers, Alexander Davis and Aizik Davis; and his great great grandchildren, William Whitcomb IV and Lexi Whitcomb. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
