He was predeceased by: his parents, H. B. Cleland and Esther Cleland; his siblings, Bonnie Clark (Lonny), Eldon Cleland, Wilma Dallas (Richard), Joan Alt (Jerry), David and Cathy Cleland; and his great grandchild Derrick.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Cleland On (Ruffing); his children, Gay Alt (Dennis) of Bellevue, Kelly Depinet (Mark) of New Riegel, Angie Sautter (Steve) of Tiro and Trent Cleland (Lisa) of Bloomville; his grandchildren, Niki Schiefer (Dan), Brandi Hines (Jude Bilger), Justin Depinet (Miriah), Tyson Depinet (Erica), Jamie Depinet-Price (Coree), Lane Sautter (Sierra Haines), Amber Bernard (Luke), Marlee Alt, Ashley Cleland and Maci Cleland; and his great grandchildren, Lilly, Evan, Thomas Schiefer, Maura, Everly, Deker Depinet, Ryker Bernard and Baby 'Peapod Depinet.
