He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Hardesty; and his children, Robert (Bob), Connie McCool (Tom) and Don (Melissa). He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

In the lieu of flowers donation can be made in his name to Stein Hospice, Sandusky, Oh. or Crawford County Special Olympics.
