He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Rasmussen Kuhre and Norman W. Kuhre; his sister Betty Jane; his former wife Esther; and his son-in-law Crow.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Forsgren and Bruce Kuhre; his sister-in-law Carol Kuhre; his children, Bekki Shining Bearheart (Jon), Dana Carlson (Richard), Bryan Kuhre (Vicky) and Kirsten Kuhre-Holmquist; his grandchildren, Jeroch Carlson (Karen), Ilona Carlson Bond (Taylor), Leif Holmquist, Caithlin Holmquist, Bjorn Holmquist and Maia Nettleship; his nieces and nephews, Siri, Tanja, Greg and Eric; his former wife Susan Righi; and his stepson Sam Righi.
