He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Norman and Mary Allen; and his stepbrother Zachariah Reed Musser. He is survived by: his father Jack Smathers (Jenni) of Waverly; his stepmother Jenni Smathers of Waverly; his brother Bryn (Johnna) of Heath; his nieces and nephews, Collin and Meredith; his stepsister Ashley (Matt Meyer); his brother Jacob Smathers; his grandparents, Jerry and Joann Smathers of Athens; his aunts and uncles, Jeannie, Jeff Jenkins, Jill, Richard Meadows, Jerry David Smathers and David Allen; and also, Benjamin and Joshua.
