With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susie Young (Athens, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 8, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond G. Smith and June E. Ervin Smith; her husband James H. Young; her son Jeffrey Young; and her siblings, Janis Smith, Deanna Smith and William Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer Young of The Plains and Kristina Riley (Marc) of Nelsonville; her grandchildren, Katlynn Eschbaugh (Trey) of Eau Claire, WI, Taylor Riley of Nelsonville and Brody Riley of Nelsonville; her great grandchildren, Kolten and Bailey Grube; and her sisters, Sandra Syrus of Gallipolis, Marilyn Smith of Logan and Carolyn Hopkins of Logan. She is also survived by several brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home for expenses.
