He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Samuel (Theresa) of Athens and Miranda Pistner (William) of Bloomfield Hills, MI; and his grandchildren, Aidan Crowl of Washington, D. C., Audrey Crowl, Miles Pistner, Bloomfield Hills and Emerson Crowl. He is also survived by parents, especially parents.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to any of the following Department of English endowment funds: Samuel and Susan Crowl Professorship, Shakespeare Endowment, or Susan Crowl Graduate Endowment.
