He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lee and Elma Grace Stephenson Johnson; his son Robert; and his siblings, Arvella Lehman, Eddie, Harold, Roy, Woodriff, Lonus and Donald Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen May Buckley Johnson; and his daughter Leah Jean Edinger (Steven) of Athens. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and1 great-great-grandson.
