She was predeceased by: her parents, Electa Evans and Frank Riegel; her husband Robert B. Matthews of Athens; her son-in-law Judge Robert W. Stewart; her grandson Gavin Stewart; and her great grandchild Madden Matthews.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Matthews (Ann) and Machelle Stewart (Robert); her grandchildren, Christopher Matthews (Gracie), Kellyann Anderson (Chris), Riley Lichtenstein (Matthew) and Rachel Duke (Bryce); and her sister-in-law Debbie Horvath (Chip). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
