Michael Edward Hess Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 9, 2023, at the age of 77, Michael Edward Hess of Athens, Ohio, born in Spencer, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Edward and Marjorie Irene Watson Hess; and his sister Sharon Knopp. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hess; his children, Michael Hess, II (Sharon Casapulla), Victoria Wisecup (Eric) and Chad Hess; his grandchildren, Jonathan Hess, Adam Hess, Jonah Hess, Kyle Reynolds, Zach Reynolds, Logan Hess (Samantha Stevens), Holly Atencio (Aaron), Abbey Roberts and Mallory Isles; his great grandchildren, Jack Roberts and Nicholas Isles; his brother Roger Hess (Deanna); his brother-in-law Phillip Knopp; and his close friends, Nancy Schell, Sarah McGrew and Lois Ann Williams.
