The memory of Larry Edward Douglas Sr. of Athens, Ohio, who passed away on July 6, 2024 at the age of 72, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by : his parents, Oba Douglas, Jr. and Janet McClean Lawrence; and his brother Donald "Donnie" Lawrence. He is survived by : his children, Larry E. "Bear" Douglas, Jr. (Amanda), Tammy Tinkham and Sylina Norris (Joseph); his grandchildren, Kenneth Cremeans, Jr., Michael Coen, Tamara Warner, Trey Coen, Kayla Davis, Amanda Tinkham, David Cochran, Miranda Tinkham, Allie Spears, Dylan Cochran, Brennan Douglas and Connor Douglas; and his brothers, Marvin Lawrence (Lavonda) and Bruce Lawrence (Clara). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hughes Funeral Home (168 Morris Ave, Athens, OH 45701). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
