We are sad to announce that on December 23, 2023, at the age of 82, Joel S. Rudy of Athens, Ohio, born in Brooklyn, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joel S. Rudy to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Rudy and Selma Rudy; and his siblings, Melvyn and Lois Rudy DelRisco. He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his children, Lisa and Brian; his daughter-in-law Julia; his grandsons, Nathan and Owen; his sister-in-law Francine; his nieces, Ilene Rudy-Slatkin, Adriene Fern, Nina Ferreira and Allison Venter; and his nephew Hal. He is also survived by his cousins and close family friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Rudy Student Leadership Award (made payable to The Ohio University Foundation - with "Rudy Student Leadership Award" in the memo line, P.O. Box 869, Athens OH 45701); or to medical research institutes most meaningful to you and your family, such as dementia research programs within the Alzheimer's Association (http://act.alz.org).
