He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Ann Riestenberg; his daughters, Elizabeth Clare Welsh and Molly Kathleen Brumfield; his sons-in-law, Scott C. Welsh and Paul D. Brumfield; his grandchildren, Laurel C. Davis (Daniel), Henry Welsh, Parker D. Brumfield and Marley Reese Brumfield; his siblings, Mary Rush (David), Judy Hodgins (Kevin), John Riestenberg and Jeff Riestenberg (Amy); and his siblings-in-law, Debbie Cheney (David), John Roller (Ruth), Greg Roller (Vincent Lopez), Eileen King (Tom), Mary Sockrider and Susan Szeremeta. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
