He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Conkey and Freda Thompson Conkey; his wife Marilyn Perry Conkey; and his sister Emma Sue. He is survived by: his sons, Jack R. Conkey (Becky) of El Paso and Michael Conkey (Brenda) of Buchtel; his grandson Eric Conkey (Caren); his great grandchildren, Logan and Lyla of Pataskla; his granddaughters, Jennifer Gelber (Josh) of Phoenix, AZ, Nancy of El Paso, TX and Alison; his great grandchild Jonathan of Reno, NV; and his close friend Carol Stevens of The Plains.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jagers & Sons Funeral Home (24 Morris Ave, Athens, OH 45701). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
