He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Heaton and Jean Heaton; and his brother Jim. He is survived by: his children, Surpassing, Chris and Carrie; his wife Jeanne; his former wife Sandra Fellman; his stepchildren, Shannon O'Leary and Kevin MooreO'Leary; his grandchildren, John Heaton, Emma Heaton, Anna Heaton Schwartz, Izzy Moore O'Leary and Jules Moore O'Leary; his daughter-in-law Janet Lighthammer Heaton; his mother-in-law Molly Gerbasi Heaton; his grandson-in-law Parker Schwartz; his great grandchildren, Leah Yvonne Heaton and Chase David Heaton; and also, Rick Roaden and Kara Moore O'Leary.
