The passing of Carey Snyder of Athens, Ohio leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on March 20, 2025 at the age of 56. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Carey shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Carey farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She is survived by: her husband Mark; her son Zach Barsamian (Mark Barsamian); her siblings, Pamela Snyder (Warren Leggett) and Matthew Snyder (Karla Galdamez); and her parents, Nancy Huguenard and Dave Snyder (Joanna Snyder). She is also survived by in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM.
Carey's last wishes included donations to two charitable causes: a scholarship fund to support study abroad for English majors at Ohio University, and the Athens Conservancy, whose vision and hard work has preserved many natural areas that Carey so loved.
