He was predeceased by: his parents, Ballard Thacker and Linda K. Coleman Thacker; his grandchildren, Emerson Baker and Dillon Baker; and his nephew Dakota Williams.
He is survived by: his daughter Cara Thacker of McArthur; his sisters, Mary Kay Booth (Tom Spurling) of Wilkesville, Kathy Jo Spanswick (Bryn), Connie Ann McDaniel (Freddie) of Vinton County, Amanda Conley (Brad) of Oak Hill and Misty Dawn Prater (Ray Rupe) of Albany; and his niece Kera Spriggs (Scott). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
