He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley and Sarah Elizabeth Fields Timmons; his wife Phyllis; his son Jimmy; his sister Margaret Zaug; his grandchildren, Amanda Blazer and Bradley Timmons; and his great grandchild Jayden Armstrong.
He is survived by: his children, John Timmons, Jr., Janet Hanby (Danny), Julie A. Miller (Jeff), Joni Horsley (Jamie) and Jonnie Michelle Timmons; his sister Elizabeth Goings; his grandchildren, John Wesley Timmons (Brandi), Justin Moody, Jeffrey Moody (Shauna Spears), Mathew Timmons, Ariel Miller, Aaron Horsley and Molly Timmons; and his great grandchildren, Alyssa Moody and Sai Bounthisanh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
