He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Hoyt Leatherwood and Louise Francis Leatherwood (Schieser); and his grandson Jacob Applegate. He is survived by: his wife Dorene Leatherwood; his children, Aaron Leatherwood (Carly) of Athens, Ohio, David Leatherwood (Lisa) of Columbus, Ohio and Susan Applegate (Scott) of Ashville, Ohio.; and his grandchildren, Maria, Benjamin, Anna, Jonathan, Alex, Emily and Ella.
