He was predeceased by: his mothers, Pearl R. Stickel and Anna F. Stickel (Miller); his wife Margie; his son Robert; and his grandsons, Jeremey and Jason Archer.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Evans of West Jefferson; his daughters, Janet Stebelton (Larry) and Marcy Archer (Tony); his daughter-in-law Betty Stickel; his grandchildren, Eric Stebelton (Lori), Chad Stickel (Donna), Amber Stephens (William), Kelly Wright (Mike), Julie Sreekanth (Babu) and Stephanie Daub Archer; his great grandchildren, Chloe Stebelton, Jordan Stickel, Isaac Daub, Samuel Stephens, Amelia Stephens, Leon Wright, Arjun Sreekanth and Ashwin Sreekanth; and his son Harold "Butch" O'Brien.
