Buddy Lee Alford, 75 passed away peacefully in his sleep at home, on the morning of December 27, 2024. Buddy was born to the late Carl and Elizabeth Alford of Ashville Ohio, on June 28, 1949 in Columbus Ohio. Buddy leaves behind a son, Steve Alford, of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter Maria (Steve) Barrett, of Buckeye Lake, Ohio; a son Julian Steinbrook, of Lancaster, Ohio; a son Adam (Nikki) Miller, of Buckeye Lake, Ohio; a daughter August Steinbrook, of Rushville, Ohio, a brother Clayton (Penny) Alford, of Circleville, Ohio; a sister Virginia (Ron) Larabee, of St Louis, Missouri; he also leaves behind grandchildren, Brianna Alford, Dalton (Krya) Alford, William Russell, Taleigh Fitch, Phoenix Miller, Lushin Miller, Diamond Saunders, Skylynn Steinbrook, and three great-grandchildren, Artorias Alford, Tyson Steinbrook, and Gracelyn Russell. Buddy is preceded by his father Carl Alford, mother Elizabeth Alford, a brother Junior Alford, wife Karen Alford, and granddaughter Tessa Clagg.
Buddy Alford attended Linden McKinney High School and retired from Columbus Auto Parts before opening Alford Mower Repair in Thornville, Ohio. Buddy was a very outgoing man that had a love for classic cars, poker and was an avid dart player. In his younger years he loved to hunt rabbits and ride his three wheelers. Buddy loved his family, his friends, and especially his animals. He never hesitated to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved showing off his flower beds and taking rides on the lakefront on his golf cart. Family and friends may visit on January 2, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home 420 W. Main St. Ashville with a Funeral Service to be held on Friday January 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow at Heavenly Hills Cemetery (Former Floral Hills Memorial Garden) Circleville.
