He was predeceased by: his parents, Evan Hamilton and Lona Hamilton (Newsome); his wife Helen Hamilton; his children, Helen Hadlock and Roger; his grandsons, Johnny Jr. and Chance; his brother Rufford; and his daughter-in-law Kristin Hamilton.
He is survived by: his children, John R. Hamilton (Lori), Lona Hamilton and Tammy Erdel (John). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 5 brothers, and three sisters.
