With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Allen Peura (Ashtabula, Ohio), who passed away on December 9, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Matt Jalmer and Helmi Marie Peura (Jarvi). He is survived by: his wife Dolores Candela Forinash Peura; his children, Lynn A. Pontius (David), Lois Fritchen (Ronald) and James M. Peura; his stepchildren, Deborah McElroy (James) and David Forinash; his grandchildren, Adam Pontius (Nicole), Caitlyn Pontius Andrulis, Meadow Pontius, Gregory Fritchen and Lauren McElroy; his great grandchildren, Luke, Mila Pontius and Michael Andrulis; and his siblings, Robert Peura (Eleanore) and Nancy Mohr (Terry).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church.
