He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Dietrich and Val Dietrich (Castle). He is survived by: his wife Jane Findlay; his daughters, Ann Margaret Benedict (Scott) and Kristen Leigh McClure; and his grandchildren, Cameron Dietrich Wade, Conner McClure (Katie) and Derek McClure (Jaclyn McQueeney). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church in Ashtabula.
