It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maurice John Welch of Ashtabula, Ohio, who passed away on October 20, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Welch and Mary Catherine "May" Welch (Gouhin); his former wife Marjorie Welch (Capitena); and his sister Mary Jude English. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Casciola Welch (Tetlow); his daughters, Maureen Surbella (Tom) of Ashtabula, Margaret "Peggy" Ducro (J. P.) of Ashtabula and Mollie Barnes (Mark) of Highland Heights; his grandchildren, Gabriella Novak, Matthew, Logan Surbella, Mary Catherine, Elizabeth Ann, Sara Lynn, Anna Rose Ducro, Ethan James and Lauren Paige Barnes; his stepchildren, Justin Casciola (Jaime) of Chicago, IL, Allan Casciola (Lisa) of St. Louis, MO and Anne Gomez (Domingo) of Bay Village; his brother-in-law David English; and his nephews, James English (Faye) and Ted English. He is also survived by 10 step-grandchildren.
