Leah Shapiro Coblitz Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leah Shapiro Coblitz (Ashtabula, Ohio), who passed away on April 6, 2025 at the age of 102. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Leah Shapiro Coblitz to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Monas Shapiro and Riva Shapiro (Heifetz); her husband Sanford "Sandy" Coblitz; and her brother Jack Shapiro. She is survived by: her sons, Mark (Iris) of Wayne, David (Elaine Unell) of St. Louis and Rick (Linda) of Ashtabula; her grandchildren, Drew, Brian (Lauren), Evan (Sophie), Aaron Coblitz, Valerie Harchalk (Jake), Joe (Jennifer) and Scott Coblitz (Stephanie); her great grandchildren, Clara, Eryn, Johnny, Anna, Grace, Levi, Ben, Adam, Elyse and Genevieve; and her sisters, Harriet Goodman of Ashtabula and Beverly Perlman of New Jersey. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ducro Funeral Home (4524 Elm Ave, Ashtabula, OH 44004). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ridgeview Cemetery (7205 Austinburg Rd, Ashtabula, OH 44004).
