Janice Y. Cowen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janice Y. Cowen (Ashtabula, Ohio), born in Danville, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 17, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Barry Cowen; her son Max Graham; her mother Margaret Dile; her brothers, Jack and Don; and her stepgrandson Larry Schaffer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gayle Dawson (Robert) and Lisa Pugliese (Rick); her stepdaughters, Debra Schaffer (Ted), Cammie Workman (Steve) and Julie Rooks (Bob); her grandchildren, Andrew Rettig, Jennie Pugliese (Mitchell), Ralphie Pugliese (Gillian), Jason Workman, Alyson Baker (Doug), Matthew Rooks (Lakshmi) and Mitch Rooks; and her great grandchildren, Andrew, Evy, Luigi, Cooper, Laney, Nolan, Arjun and Krishna.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Czup Funeral Home (1329 Lake Ave, Ashtabula, OH 44004). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Workman Cemetery. A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
