He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Stanton and Rosibel Stanton (Bugby); his wife Lucille Stanton (Bancroft); his daughter Edith Bish; his granddaughter Stacey Hawke; his siblings, Robert Stanton and Mary Nelson; and his son-in-law Robert Hawke.
He is survived by: his children, Herbert Stanton (Skitch), Connie Hawke, Gerry Schreiber (Joseph), Susan Graber (Linn) and Mary Jane Frye (Frank); his grandchildren, Melissa, Timothy, Kevin, Katie, Christina, Noah, Melanie, Abbey, Chelsea, Kara and Risa; and his son-in-law Curtis Bish. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
