It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ethel H. Pokorny of Ashtabula, Ohio, born in Hemingway, South Carolina, who passed away on May 22, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though Ethel may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ethel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Marvin Morris and Demitt Morris (Floyd); and her brother Murphy Morris. She is survived by : her husband Anthony Pokorny; her children, Scott Pokorny, Don Pokorny and Susan Zeppernick; and her brother Mike Morris. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
