She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Volpone and Eleanor Volpone (Anderson); her husband Francis Capitena; and her sister Marguerite "Peggy" Mead. She is survived by: her children, Sandy Capitena, Mike Capitena (Dianne), Lorri Treen (Paul Calaway), Juli Capitena (Daniel Kuntz), Cindy Capitena (Paul Hilbert) and Mary Capitena-Bento (Tim Hunt, Jr); and her grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, Paul, Michael, Erin, Megan, Thomas, Andrea, Kimmy, Melanie, Anthony and Alexis. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Our Lady of Peace, the Alzheimer's Association, or Bellacare Hospice.
