He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. and Lucy Sowry (Russell); his wife Marianne Sowry; his son John Sowry; his grandson Garrick Sowry; and his son-in-law Jack Hinkle.
He is survived by: his children, Marsha Hinkle of Jefferson, Mark Sowry (Sindy) of Lenox Twp, James Sowry of Dorset Twp, Brad Sowry of Willowick, Suzanne Buell (Larry Matousek) of Madison, Christine Preston (James) of Jefferson and David Sowry of Dorset Twp; and his grandchildren, Branden Hinkle (Tami), Stacy Alexander (Matt), Jennifer Alvarado (Allan), Melissa, Heather Sowry, Thomas Sowry, Cara Maylish (Bill), Cami Sowry, Loretta, Emily Buell, Alicia, Aleah, Aaron Preston, Cody and Courtney Sowry.
