He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy George and Glenda George (Dixon); and his parents-in-law, William E. and Laura Lee McCarthy. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly; his children, Jack Joseph Lemmon (Lindsay), Tyler George, Logan George, Tabitha and Courtney George; his siblings, Sandy Henderson (Dale) and Robbie George (Abbey); his siblings-in-law, Laura and Jason Cole; his grandchildren, Alessia and Jack; and his cousins, Lori Berman and Pam Cianci (Paul).

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family if so desired.
