It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shelba Jean Childers of Ashley, Ohio, born in Marion, Ohio, who passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Evelyn Lester (Adkins); and her siblings, Kenneth Lester and Donna Cochran. She is survived by: her father Clyde Lester; her husband William "Henry" Childers; her children, Sherry Melvin of Delaware, Matthew Childers (Robin) of Columbus and Clayton Childers (Leah) of Ostrander; and her sisters, Betty Wooten of Centerville and Doris McCarty (David) of Marysville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
