She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Green and Ida Thacker (Chapman); her son Herman Compton Jr.; and her brothers, Jimmy, Dan, James, Joe and Lenoral Thacker.
She is survived by: her children, James Compton, Timothy Compton (Janet), Donna Jones (James) and Sharon Brooks (Joe); and her siblings, John, David Thacker, Brenda Thacker and Ella Crossman (Ron). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed towards the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
