Vickie Sue Groenke Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vickie Sue Groenke of Ashland, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 28, 2024 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vickie Sue Groenke to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Wayne and Donna Ruth Fogt; and her granddaughter Madison Elizabeth Groenke. She is survived by: her husband Reverend Robert Groenke Jr.; her children, Rev. Matthew Groenke (Julie) and Dr. Melinda Wonsick (Kevin); her grandchildren, Adam, Elijah, Jeremiah Groenke, Rebecka and Abbigail Wonsick; and her brother Stephen Fogt (Sandra). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (127 Cherry Rd NW, Massillon, OH 44646).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Renovation Fund.
