He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas E. Schlingman and Janet "Lou" Schlingman; and his brother David Schlingman. He is survived by: his son Chad Thomas Schlingman (Tanya) of Santa Fe; his grandchildren, Lily, Lola and Levi Schlingman; and his sisters, Ellen Hughes (Steve) of Ashland, Sally South (Joel) of Delaware and Kathy Eft (Roy) of Fishers, Indiana.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
