With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Robert L. Switzer of Ashland, Ohio, born in Clarion, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Robert left this world on September 26, 2024 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Robert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Switzer and Virginia Switzer (Shorts); his wife Janice "Red" Louise McInerney; his granddaughter Erin Michaels; his sister Betty; and his brother-in-law Roger Brockway.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Switzer (Pamela Burgett) of Ashland, Mark Switzer (Mary) of Seville, Brenda Simmons (Michael) of Sandusky and Matthew Switzer (Cristiy) of Ashland; and his brothers, Ronald Switzer (Sandy) of Ashland and Keith Switzer (Marilyn) of Tennessee. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren.
