He was predeceased by: his father William Howard. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Keets (Prosser); his daughters, Kerri Thiel (Bryce) and Katie Ramsey (Ryan); his nephew Brian Keets (Lisa); his grandchildren, Westin Thiel, Hadley Thiel, Alex Ramsey and Isaac Ramsey; his siblings, Martie Keets (Deb), Marcia Puster (Don), Beth Barr (Dale) and Sarah Hastings (Ken); his mother-in-law Waneta Prosser (Needy); his siblings-in-law, Martha Crone (Keith) and Bill Prosser (Kathy); and his aunts, Barb Hart, Sue Keets and Linda Raudebaugh (Bill). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland County Agricultural Society or to the Ohio FFA Foundation.
