He is survived by: his girlfriend Brenda Ferguson; his daughters, Billie Jean Slayton and Kathy Wood; his grandchildren, Douglas Slayton and Shelbi Slayton; his siblings, Danny Ames (Paula) and Betty Sanborn (Mel); and his sister-in-law Jane Ames. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
