We are sad to announce that on April 16, 2022, at the age of 96, Richard Patterson (Ashland, Ohio), born in Smithville, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Patterson and Frances Patterson (Sparr); his brother Robert Patterson; his wife Erva Jean Burns Patterson; his grandson Jason Patterson; and his son-in-law Stephen Ziegler.
He is survived by: his siblings, Glenna "Jean" Heilman and William Patterson; his children, Michael Patterson (Mary), Dr. Jane Ziegler, Dr. James Patterson (Pamela) and David Patterson (Denise); and his grandchildren, Brooke, Brian, Katherine (Gruettner), Matthew, Beatrice (Weiler), Sarah (Fitzpatrick), Amanda and Jennie (Ziegler). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, Homeward Bound Dog Shelter of Ashland County, Ashland County Park District, or a charity of donor's choice.
