He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Tony" Goon and Mary Etta Goon (Shankland); his sister Shelia; and his brother-in-law Bob Mondragon. He is survived by: his wife Karen Garlick; his children, Rich Goon (Gina) of Mansfield, Mary Goon (James Butts) of Ashland and John Goon (Whitney Cadwallader) of Ashland; his grandchildren, Stephen and Julie; and his siblings, Thomas Goon (Barbara) of Ashland, Bonnie Howell (Douglas) of Ashland, Charlotte Dodds (Jack) of North Carolina and Peggy Funk of West Virginia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
