It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leonard P Salvo of Ashland, Ohio, born in Saint Clair, Michigan, who passed away on January 15, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Salvo and Victoria Salvo; his brother Charles Salvo; and his father-in-law Julio Guisasola. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Salvo of Ashland; his sons, Aaron Salvo of Decatur and Joel Salvo (Ashley) of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Ella Salvo of Decatur, Julio and Axel Salvo of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his sister Linda Morrow (Tom) of Lee Summit, Missouri; his mother-in-law Clotilde Guisasola of Ashland; his siblings-in-law, Tony Guisasola (Becky) of Ellijay, Georgia and Maria Salvo of Florida; and his pet Rosie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kentucky Colonel, 943 South First Street, Louisville, KY 40203, an honor that he was truly proud of.

“I will always remember our Symphony Band shocking the band community the moment we won the Toronto International Music Festival under your excellent direction. It was incredible. My mom watched your children for awhile, my sister took flute lessons from Suzanne and I believe baby sat Aaron I remember most though is the incredible working friendship you and my father had. The band years of the 70's and 80's in Bedford were superb because you were part of that Stanifer, Tolly, Salvo team”
