With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lena Mae Elswick of Ashland, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lena left this world on February 17, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel D. Hollandsworth and Mary Hollandsworth (Beckner); her husband John Elswick; her brothers, Robert D. Hollandsworth, Ray Hollandsworth, Joseph Hollandsworth and Kenneth Hollandsworth; and her grandson Johnny Allen Elswick-Duncan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Julia L. Elswick of Ashland, Laura Mae Flinders (Randy) of Virginia and Christa D. Duncan (Jeffery) of Ashland; her friends, David Beach and John D. Elswick (Jenni) of Polk; and her siblings, Barbara Warner of Ashland, Louella J. Shonkwiler (Gary) of Alabama, William L. Hollandsworth (Joann) of Columbus and Ralph E. Hollandsworth of Rapid City. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Heyl Funeral Home (227 Broad St, Ashland, OH 44805). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
