He was predeceased by: his sister Heather; his brother-in-law Roger Burns; and his daughter Eirelyn Zuercher. He is survived by: his wife Katie Dougherty; his daughter Noella; his parents, Susan Zuercher and Tom Zuercher of Ashland; his parents-in-law, Lynne Dougherty of Akron and Jim Dougherty of Ft Wayne; his sister Sharla Lechner (Paul) of Ashland; his brother-in-law Matthew Dougherty (Crystal) of Columbus; and his nieces and nephews, Anna Burns, Braden Burns, Kaleb Burns, Kaleia Lechner, Aelan Lechner, Alyssa Dougherty, Riley Dougherty and Damon Galt.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial gifts in Jared's honor be sent to the charitable organization of the donor's choice.
