It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Bateson of Ashland, Ohio, born in Crooksville, Ohio, who passed away on January 20, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence C. Bateson and Aundah H. Bateson; and his son Christopher Scott Bateson. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Bateson of Ashland; and his children, Rhonda Kay Cains of Ashland and Darrel James Bateson of Dayton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
