He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Franklin and Bernice Franklin; his siblings, Florence Harman, Virginia Crossen, Mary Humrichouser, Ricky and L. Robert Franklin; and his brother-in-law Ralph Timothy Iddings.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Franklin of Ashland; his sister Janet Iddings of Ashland; his sister-in-law Jane Rudy (Dick) of Ashland; and his pet Sophie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, Ashland Symphony Orchestra or to First Christian Church.
