He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Applegate and Geneive Applegate (Guthrie); and his brothers, Charles and Donald. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Gregory Applegate, Cathy Applegate and Sondra Hays (Brad); his brother Harold Applegate (Audrey); and his grandchildren, Taylor Applegate (Alicia), Madison Hays, Connor Applegate and Brock Hays.
