He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Hoffman and Elizabeth Hoffman (Copeland); his parents-in-law, Herb and Kay Zimmerman; and his stepfather Eldon Crone.
He is survived by: his wife Sondra Hoffman of Ashland; his children, Lindsay Martin (Tony) of Ashland and A. J. Hoffman (Lindsey) of Ashland; and his grandchildren, Braydon, Layne Martin, Julia, Kensley and Maggie Hoffman.
