He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard E. Grindle and Margaret Grindle; his wife Sandy; and his brother John Edson Grindle. He is survived by: his children, Susan Icenhour (Joel) of Ashland and Bill Grindle of Columbus; his grandchildren, Daniel Icenhour (Abbey) of Brunswick, Aaron Icenhour of Columbus, Megan Icenhour of Ashland, Tessa Grindle (David) and Benjamin Grindle; and his great grandchild Breonna Icenhour.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 220 Sandusky Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805.

“I worked for Mr. Grindle for 3 years in the late 70's. He was such a kind (and funny) man. I was just out of high school, it was my first real job and i was very impressionable.
