She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Ryan and Cecilia Ryan (Geiger); her siblings, Albert, John, Dorothy and Margaret; and her son Peter Mikla Jr..

She is survived by: her husband Peter Mikla; her sister Virginia Crouse of Fairview Park; her sister-in-law Patricia Ryan of California; her children, Dave Mikla (Gayle) of Ashland, Cecilia Loper (Robert) of Florida and Lawrence Mikla (Mindy) of Florida; and her grandchildren, Cindy Hawks (Greg), Lori Welch (Perry), Mike Mikla (Teresa), Bruce Mikla and Liam Mikla. She is also survived by six great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

In her free time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, and making rosaries that she would donate to the Catholic Church.
